The technology inside every AutoDOT kit

Holographic microdots, NFC, holoQR™, synthetic DNA and UV marking, layered so a protected vehicle can always be identified.

SANBI 05011

Anatomy of a microdot

Each microdot is a tiny metal particle carrying a unique code. Together, thousands of them turn a vehicle into its own proof of ownership.

Material
Nickel metal with micro and optional nano holographic surface elements in full colour
Shapes
Hexagons, circles and polygons, plus complex shapes such as a butterfly, heart or key
Code
A unique PIN, identical on every dot in one kit, e.g. ZAVDA-40MZN
Quantity
Thousands per vehicle, too many to find and remove
Durability
Permanent; not removed by normal car washing

Mockup note: add exact dimensions and adhesive specs once confirmed.

Every layer in the system

Overt layers deter the thief. Covert and forensic layers prove ownership after a theft.

Holographic microdots

PIN-coded metal particles with holographic surfaces that are extremely difficult for counterfeiters to reproduce.

Layer: Forensic

Holographic NFC tag

A passive SpeedTap™ tag made with Thinfilm of Silicon Valley, combining security holography with printed NFC. Tap with a phone to verify.

Layer: Digital

holoQR™ track and trace

A patented holographic QR code that links the vehicle to its registration record for quick field checks.

Layer: Digital

Synthetic DNA markers

Proprietary nano-scale DNA identifiers for forensic proof of origin on high-value assets.

Layer: Forensic

UV covert marking

Invisible ink for a phone number, email or secret code, visible only under a UV lamp.

Layer: Covert

Coded warning decals

Holographic window decals that warn thieves the vehicle is marked and registered.

Layer: Overt

Where the microdots go

Microdots are placed on the vital components a thief would want to sell, so a stripped vehicle can still be identified part by part.

  • Body panels

Doors, bonnet, boot lid, bumpers and guards

  • Engine and drivetrain

Engine block, gearbox and major mechanical parts

  • Wheels and trim

Alloy wheels, lights and exterior fittings

  • Interior

Seats, dashboard, audio and navigation units

  • Motorbikes and bicycles

    Frame, forks, wheels and components

  • Equipment and property

Tools, machinery, and home and office contents

Applying the system

  1. 1

    Apply the microdots

By aerosol spray, dauber, brush or the new pen kit, following the enclosed instructions.

  2. 2

    Add tags and UV marks

Fit the holographic NFC tag and holoQR™ label, and write covert details with the UV pen.

  3. 3

    Fit the warning decals

Inside the front side windows, clearly visible from outside.

  4. 4

    Register the PIN

The kit's PIN is recorded with the vehicle and owner details in the international database.

Verifying a vehicle

  1. 1

    Locate

An officer scans the vehicle or part with a UV lamp to find the marks.

  2. 2

    Read

The PIN is read with a magnifier, or the NFC tag and holoQR™ with a smartphone.

  3. 3

    Look up

Through the secure portal, the PIN returns the registered owner.
